This half term we are going to be building a Viking village, so we need you to save your cereal boxes please!
Don’t forget its swimming for the whole of year 4 for the next few weeks. Children need to bring a swimming costume and towel in a bag. A drawstring bag is a great way to carry everything if you have one.
Swimming goggles may be worn if your child prefers to wear them.
Please make sure everything is labelled with your child’s name.
Hard to believe that we are heading towards the final term of year 4!
What do we have to look forward to over the coming weeks?
In science, we will be learning all about habitats.
Our history topic is Invaders and Settlers – the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings. This will also include our trip to Murton Park near York for our Viking Day. No costumes are required – these are provided by Murton Park.
We will be doing outdoor PE every week unless the weather is too bad, so please ensure that your child has trainers in school on their PE days, which are Mondays and Thursdays.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Head, Mrs Sykes and Mrs Barnes
